Nancy Shead of Doylestown, PA passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 in Neshaminy Manor, Doylestown, PA. She was 78.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward and Ethel (Calderwood) McAdams, Nancy resided in Cheltenham, PA before moving to Doylestown, PA in 1967.
Nancy was a self-employed hairdresser for 50 years. For 22 of those years, she also was a volunteer hairdresser with Doylestown Hospital. She was a member of Doylestown United Methodist Church where she assisted with Sunday School, Summer Bible School for children, and many Youth Group musicals and plays in church.
She was the beloved wife of 57 years to Thomas G. Shead; devoted mother of Bonnie Provost and husband Michael, Scott Shead and the late Tommy Shead, Jr.; dear sister of Bonnie D’Angelo and husband Ronnie; loving grandmother of Michael and Zachary Provost. Nancy’s strong faith in God and her family were most important to her.
A memorial service will be held at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on November 4, 2023 at 11:00 am. The family will receive their friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
