Music Festival to raise funds for Quakertown area food pantries

Posted

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will host the 9th Joyful Noise Music Festival, to raise funds for four Quakertown area food pantries, Saturday, at The Park at 4th Univest Performance Center in Quakertown.

Music will run 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and a can of food for donation.

The festival features diverse, spirit-lifting music including internationally-known guitarist Craig Thatcher joined by Cliff Starkey on keyboards; nationally known singer-songwriter Bob Halligan, Jr. of Ceili Raine; Quakertown-based Christian rock band, Once Called Saul; “Vibrant Celtic Nu-Folk” from Seasons; Philadelphia-based contemporary Christian artist Denia Shanelle and her band; fun (and funny) family music from Sen᷉or Fancypants; Pennridge-area rock band, The 307 and the church’s own St. Paul’s Joyful Noise Band.

Also available will be: American favorite food from The Brickside; local artists, crafters and other vendors; a magic show by Bob Ball; activities for children; basket, quilt and 50/50 raffles; and more.

All proceeds will be donated to four Quakertown-area food pantries, which fed more than 6,000 families last year. Festival attendees are encouraged to bring a food donation. Joyful Noise 8 donated $15,000 to the pantries and through the years, the event has raised nearly $80,000.

The festival is dedicated this year in memory of Ray Constable, a long time volunteer who died recently after a long illness.
