Artist Leyla Spencer will show her mosaic work at the JB Kline Gallery, 25 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J., from Nov. 2 through 30.
Spencer’s work consists of expressive colors depicting both abstract and natural forms. Spencer enjoys using stained glass, precious and semi-precious stones and found objects in her work all mounted on a light weight, water proof backing.
While mosaic is a work-intensive medium, Spencer tries to keep her work accessible. She has been showing in the JB Kline Gallery every November for the past 17 years, and every show has been more successful the the last.
There will be an artist’s reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 12.
Her work consists of wall pieces as well as smaller, more practical pieces, such as frames, trivets, and coasters. All of the wall pieces are suitable for hanging outdoors, except for musical instruments.
