Mildred Vreeland passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown PA. She was 95.
Born in Newark, NJ to the late Harrison and Mildred (Dietsch) Vreeland, Mildred was a lifelong resident of Morris Plains, NJ before moving to Doylestown 18 years ago.
She worked with AT&T Bell Labs in Whippany, NJ for over 35 years before retiring and enjoying her longtime membership with the Women’s Club of Morristown and the Morris Plains Presbyterian Church. An avid swimmer whose family owned the Littleton Road Swim Club in Morris Plains, Mildred also enjoyed golfing, bowling, skiing and sailing off the Main Coast as well as traveling with her friends.
Mildred is survived by Kathleen (Byrne) Dalton, Patricia (Byrne) Clausen and nephews Francis, Lawrence and Michael Byrne as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her sister Helen Gale (Vreeland) Byrne
Services will be held privately. Mildred will be laid to rest in the Vail Cemetery in Parsippany, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Morris Plains Presbyterian Church.
