Join Mike Mann at his artist’s reception at Bucks On Bridge in Lambertville, N.J., from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8.
He will be showing and selling a collection of colorful paintings all done from life in and around Lambertville. The Raven Rock Rounders will be there to perform songs, many of which are about the area.
As Mann puts it, “You simply can’t get a more local art show than this. And this coffee house is really a center for all the arts in our community.”
The Stockton, N.J., artist works almost entirely as a “plein air” painter, always out to capture the places and people he encounters. If you’ve spent much time in the greater Lambertville region, you may have seen him at his easel or on his bicycle with a canvas clipped to its side.
His artwork is greatly influenced by the Impressionists but is done with an illustrator’s touch.
Bucks on Bridge is located in the Klein Building at 25 Bridge St., Lambertville, and is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. This show will will hang throughout the month of December.
