The Michener Art Museum serves up a full day of virtual programming, intersecting the cultures of art and food, this Friday, May 15, for Foodie Friday.
As the museum doors remain temporarily closed to the public, the Michener staff is responding to an increased appetite for more virtual offerings.
Since May 15 is National Pizza Party Day, the team cooked up an assortment of programs to appeal to all ages and tastes, intertwining culinary themes with the Michener’s historic collection, upcoming exhibitions, and local partnerships.
All programming is virtual. Zoom links will be provided after registration. The day’s specials include: Pizza Portraits with Jules Thin Crust, all day; Michael Kanter Exclusive Video from Cook and His Books, at 11:30 a.m.; From the Ground Up: Exhibition Preview with Syd Carpenter, from noon to 1 p.m.; Creative Kids Kitchen Laboratory, from 2 to 2:45 p.m.; Food for Thought: Animal Protein and the Environment, from 4 to 5 p.m.; and Happy Hour in the Artist Garden, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
