“Meet & Greet” with new head of Quakertown School District set

Posted

New Quakertown Community School District Superintendent Dr. Matthew Friedman is holding a ‘Meet & Greet’ on Oct. 18 at Quakertown Community High School.

The session, which is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., is being promoted as the first in a series of interactive forums where the community can hear Friedman’s vision for the district’s future and ask questions.

Friedman was named superintendent of schools in March but formally started in the role in July following his departure from the superintendent’s job at Ocean City (N.J.) School District.

He succeeds Dr. William Harner, who retired over the summer after almost a decade in the role.

Community members interested in attending the Oct. 18 meeting have until Friday to register for the event by contacting Terry San Angelo at tsanangelo@qcsd.org.
