Marie Collins, 70, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family

A lifelong resident of Lambertville, N.J., who recently moved to New Hope, Pa., she was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Lambertville. For 25 years she worked as a parking enforcement officer and as a matron for the Lambertville Police Department before retiring.

Daughter of the late John Eichlin and Joyce Marie Cifelli Eichlin, Marie was the wife of the late Richard Collins, who was a Vietnam veteran and passed away in 2014 from his injuries. She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Galloway (Angelo) and Jackie Frangakis (John), a niece Connie Frangakis (Dan), and nephews Dennis McNamara (Gwen) and Tyler Galloway. Also surviving Marie is her great-nephew, Brendan McNamara, and great-niece, Madeline McNamara. Her family was the center of her life. She especially loved celebrating Christmas with her family throughout the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville. Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 20 from 6-8 p.m., and Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., Lambertville. Burial will take place Monday, Oct. 24 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Ave., Newtown, PA 18940.

Plan to meet at the cemetery administration building by 10:15 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 if you want to be present for the burial services.
