Marianne Theresa Schaible of Troy, Pa., passed away Jan. 18, 2023, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, N.Y.
Born on Sept. 6, 1938, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Godown) Housworth, Marianne lived most of her life in Upper Black Eddy, Pa.
Marianne enjoyed being active and busy and was always happy to join in the fun. She took joy in many activities including going on trips, baking Christmas cookies, and helping family and friends when needed. Marianne will be remembered for her fun-loving nature and willingness to help.
She is survived by her daughters Dawn Boyer and Brenda Hammerstone, grandchildren Tiffany, Tyler, Jennifer, Kyle, Keith, Jeremie, Cheyanne and Katelyn, her great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Housworth and nieces and nephews, Karen, Patti, George, and Jimmy. She was predeceased by her two sons, Wayne and Kevin Hammerstone, granddaughter Jessica Hammerstone, brother and sister-in-law Edward (Skip) and Barbara Housworth, and brother George Housworth.
Services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
