The Margaret Gale Thornton Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, participated again in the Bensalem High School Marine Corps JROTC Awards Night.
After the Changing of the Command Ceremony, chapter member Janice Cope, LTC, United States Air Force, retired, was one of many presenters of awards for the evening. She presented the DAR JROTC Bronze Medal and certificate to Cadet Maria Davis.
Davis is a senior, and it is her first year in Marine Corps JROTC. Col. John Church, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve, head of the leadership studies department and senior Marine instructor, described Davis. “She has been a section (or class) leader all year and has brought a mature and stable influence into promptly and professionally carrying out her duties.”
