Margaret Gail Marty, known to all as “Peg”, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in the home she treasured, surrounded by her loving family. She was 59.

A resident of Buckingham Township, Peg was born in Lower Southampton, PA and grew up in Solebury. She graduated from New Hope-Solebury High School in 1980 and Colby-Sawyer College, New London, NH in 1984. In college she was a member of the school’s equestrian team. She moved to Stockton, NJ in 1993, where she raised her family before coming to Buckingham 6 years ago. She was a dedicated, loving mother to her daughters Hannah and Sarah. As a hands-on parent, she often volunteered at her daughters’ school in Stockton and helped serve on the Stockton Borough School’s PTO. Peg loved educating children. She was a gifted pre-school and kindergarten teacher at the Clubhouse for Kids Only in Solebury where she was on staff for 35 years. Most recently Peg worked for the New Hope-Solebury School District at their after-school program at the lower elementary school. An active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, she sang in the church choir. Whatever she put her mind to, she mastered. She enjoyed horseback riding and ice skating. She was a gifted pianist and had a beautiful singing voice. She loved spending time with family and friends and was a kind and generous neighbor. She liked to garden and gift her plants to those she loved. Peg met her fiancé, David Cifelli, 5 years ago. They cherished their time together taking long walks, day tripping to the Jersey shore and taking on home improvement projects. When David’s young grandchildren came to visit, Peg would entertain them, playing the piano and leading them in song.

Peg is survived by her fiancé David Cifelli of Buckingham; her daughters Hannah Marty and Sarah Marty, both of Stockton; her mother Sally Grant Jagoe of New Hope. She was the daughter by marriage to the late W. Harvey Jagoe. Peg is also survived by her brothers Reginald “Reggie” Grant and his wife Maureen of Asheville, NC, L. Jeffrey Grant of Quakertown, PA and Timothy Grant of Sea Isle City, NJ and an extended inner circle of family, friends and students whose lives she touched.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Bucks County, Pennsylvania 18938.
