Makers Alley Juried Art, Artisan and Craft Exhibition calls for entries

Posted

The third annual Makers Alley Juried Art, Artisan & Craft Exhibition has issued a call for entries.

The organization is looking for innovative art, artisan and crafts produced by Delaware River Valley Makers.

Selected works will be exhibited for three weeks in October in Frenchtown, N.J., as a part of the ArtOber 2022 Festival in addition to a special Exhibition Edition online.

The dates for the Makers Alley exhibition are Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday, Oct. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 6. Admission is free and open to the public. There will be an Artists Opening Preview on Friday, Oct. 21.

Last year, Maker’s Alley accepted more than 240 entries and exhibited 150 works of art. The 2021 exhibition is archived and still available for viewing on the Makers Alley website.

Submitted works will be judged in the “Emerging” and “Experienced” categories. The three-week public exhibition is open to both members and nonmembers, and more than one submission is acceptable to be judged. The submission deadline is Aug. 31. For information about the exhibition, submission details, and membership, go to makersalley.org.

“The Delaware River Valley is home to a tremendous wealth of local talent,” said Makers Alley co-founder Peter Rosenthal.” We are looking forward to receiving entries from a wide and diverse spectrum of artistic creativity to be exhibited this October in Frenchtown and around our River Town area.”

The annual exhibition welcomes the public to view and collect works made by artists and artisans in the Frenchtown area – voted the best small town to shop by USA Today.

Makers Alley is an artisan and craft collective that supports makers creating works across all artistic disciplines and skill sets in the Delaware River Valley.
