Makers Alley – the art and artisan collective that supports makers creating works across all artistic disciplines and skill sets in the Delaware River Valley – has announced its call for entries for the upcoming Makers Alley Juried Fall Arts & Artisan Exhibition.
In collaboration with New Hope Arts, this 4th annual Makers Alley exhibition will celebrate ARTOber month and the fall re-opening of New Hope Arts at 2 Stockton Ave. in New Hope. Chosen juried selections will be exhibited as one of the highlights of the River Arts Collective and all of the culture events and activities scheduled throughout the 31 days of October under the ARTOber banner.
“This collaboration between New Hope Arts and Makers Alley is an excellent example of two art groups collaborating together to strengthen the creative community of the Delaware River Valley,” said Peter Rosenthal, a founder and creative director of Makers Alley.
“New Hope Arts and Makers Alley are a match for this collaborative exhibition,” said New Hope Arts Executive Director Carol Cruickshanks. “Both organizations are committed to providing presentation and sales for the benefit of regional artists.”
Open to Makers Alley and New Hope Arts members and non-members, the deadline for submissions is Aug. 31. Submitted works will be formally judged as either Emerging or Experienced Artists. Noted Lambertville artist Annelies Van Dommelen will serve as a juror, with two other area professional artists to be nominated as jurors by the Makers Alley membership.
The works will be exhibited at the new gallery at New Hope Arts, and also be available for viewing and e-commerce sales online at the new Makers Alley Marketplace.
A Makers Alley Satellite Exhibition is also planned for members and nonmembers during ARTOber month at the Makers Alley Art & Design Center at 34 Bridge St. in Milford, N.J. from Oct. 6-31. For submission details, membership and entry forms, visit www.makersalley.org.
