The New Hope field hockey team, the top seed in District One Class A, defeated No. 2 Dock Mennonite 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night to capture its sixth straight district title.
Sophia Cozza scored both goals for the Lions, including the game-winner with 3:39 remaining in OT. The Lions battle Lansdale Catholic in the District One/12 regional qualifier Thursday. In District One Class 3A playbacks, No. 7 Central Bucks West beat No. 6 Souderton 1-0 to earn a state berth. Host Methacton and the Bucks will battle for fifth place on Friday.
