“Mad Science Comes Alive” at the historic Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State St., Newtown, at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22. The high-energy, family-friendly show for adults and children 3 and over will feature hair-raising science experiments, chemical reactions, fantastic forces, amazing dry ice demonstrations, flying hovercrafts, a hot-air balloon, giant smoke rings, and plenty of audience participation. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.
