A Middletown Township man is facing murder charges after police found his father decapitated in their Levittown home Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Justin Mohn, 32, allegedly murdered his father, Michael Mohn, at the family’s home in the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive in the Levittown section of Middletown Township. He then reportedly drove the elder Mohn’s vehicle to Ft. Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County, where local police stopped the car and arrested him.
Mohn reportedly posted a 14-minute video on YouTube following the beheading, where he allegedly held up his father’s head in a plastic bag.
The video has been taken down, according to officials. News outlets that viewed the video said Mohn railed against the LGBTQ community, Black Lives Matter and others, and called for the seizure of federal buildings and the public execution of federal employees “for betraying their country.” Michael Mohn was reportedly a federal employee for 20 years.
According to court documents, the video was titled “Mohn’s Militia — Call to Arms for American Patriots” and Mohn appeared to be reading from a prepared script.
Police reportedly confirmed that evidence seen in the video was identical to what was found at the crime scene.
Middletown Township police said they responded to the Levittown home after receiving a call from the victim’s wife. Upon arrival they, according to court documents, found Michael Mohn’s body in a bathroom and recovered a machete and a large kitchen knife from the bathtub.
After Justin Mohn was taken into custody at Ft. Indiantown Gap, a National Guard Training Center about 100 miles from Bucks County, he was arraigned on charges of first degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possessing instruments of crime. He is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
