Lenape “Storykeeper” Adam Waterbear DePaul passes along his people’s story

On Sunday, Adam Waterbear DePaul, Chief of Education and Tribal Storykeeper of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, will discuss the past and present of the Lenape people in Pennsylvania.

The free program, which begins at 1:30 p.m., will take place at the historic Plumstead Friends Meeting, 4914 Point Pleasant Pike.

The conversation will include discussion of Lenape’s pre-Colonial life, William Penn, the Walking Purchase, the Lenape diaspora, and the Lenape today, including the revitalization of Lenape culture.

Adam Waterbear DePaul is a doctoral candidate at Temple University with research areas in Cultural and Mythological Studies.
