Lehigh Valley museum welcomes historian

Posted

“Historian and author David Price will visit the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, to speak on his book, “The Road to Assunpink Creek: Liberty’s Desperate Hour and the Ten Crucial Days of the American Revolution.”

“This program is for anyone interested in the American Revolution,” said Joseph Garrera, executive director of the museum. “It reveals how important a little-known battle can be in the course of history.”

Price has been a historical interpreter for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. He frequently leads guided tours.

Copies of his book will be available for purchase, and the author will sign copies following the presentation. Event admission is free to Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum/Lehigh County Historical Society members; nonmembers pay $8 for adults and $3 for children.

The museum is located at 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown. For information, contact Garrera at 610-435-1074 or visit lehighvalleyheritagemuseum.org.
