Posted

Sesame Place Philadelphia, located in Middletown Township, Bucks County will bring the fun of a classic Philly block party to the park to celebrate the grand opening of the all-new Sesame Place Store on Saturday.

Visitors can enjoy carnival-style games, tasty treats, and VIP giveaways along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and official opening.

At 6,800 square feet, the Sesame Place Store will be the largest Sesame Street-themed store in the world. Located near the park entrance and with a fun photo-worthy façade, the store enhances the park entry with downtown Philadelphia architectural references lining the pathway. The all-new store will be open year-round and have the widest character offering at retail, including nostalgic fan favorites like Guy Smiley.

“Sesame Street is one of the most universally beloved and respected brands today,” said Cathy Valeriano, park president of Sesame Place Philadelphia. “The Sesame Place team has been hard at work creating this amazing new experience, and we can’t wait to celebrate the opening of this iconic store with our guests.”

“For over 50 years, Sesame Street has been enriching minds and expanding hearts through our beloved characters, iconic show, and joyful experiences. We’re committed to creating deep connections with children and families, as every caregiver’s valued partner and every child’s trusted friend, and this latest offering extends the laughter and learning of Sesame Street,” said Whit Higgins, Sesame Workshop EVP, head of Global Enterprises.

The all-new emporium will offer a wide selection of merchandise, souvenirs and mementos, including T-shirts, bubble wands and Sesame Street plush items.

Both 2023 and 2024 Sesame Place Philadelphia Season Pass Members will be among the first to experience the Sesame Place Store with Season Pass Member exclusive hours from noon to 9 p.m. Friday. Guests who visit the Sesame Place Store between Oct. 6 and 13 will receive an exclusive discount.
