Langhorne’s Christine Moran joins by McDaniel College

Christine Moran has joined McDaniel College as the new associate vice president of student success.

In this new role at the college, Moran works with all areas of academic and campus life to provide cross-divisional support for students. Her responsibilities include determining ways of enhancing students’ sense of belonging and achievement, maximizing academic support services for all students, and developing flexible paths within academic programs to facilitate degree completion.

Moran, of Langhorne, brings over 25 years of experience in education to McDaniel. She most recently served as vice provost of student success and the dean of the School of Education at Stevenson University. In her eight years at Stevenson, she served as assistant vice president of student success, interim associate dean of student success, associate dean of service-learning, and professor of education.

During her tenure at Stevenson, she was responsible for 31 university-wide initiatives related to student retention and success. She was also involved in crafting strategic initiatives for student success, program development, and accreditation.

Prior to her time at Stevenson, she served as a professor of education at Immaculata University in Pennsylvania. Moran began her career in education teaching social studies at Abington Senior High School in Abington.
