Langhorne Council for the Arts Winter Concert Series kicks off

Posted

Langhorne Council for the Arts announces a new musical experience: a Winter Concert Series at the Richardson House in Langhorne Borough.

These house concert events will take place on the first Friday of every month, from January through April, and will include desserts, hot and cold beverages, and conversation with the performers.

The Richardson House is located on the corner of South Bellevue and West Maple avenues. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Music and conversation with the musicians will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Advance tickets are highly recommended, as seating is limited. Tickets will go on sale one month before each concert. Tickets may also be available at the door if not sold out in advance.

Here’s the line-up for the LCA Winter Concert Series:

Jan. 5: Robert Tyl – Langhorne resident Bob Tyl is a talented acoustic guitarist, composer and teacher. He will kick off the new Winter Concert Series with a program of original music. Tickets are on sale now through 5 p.m. Jan. 5 for this performance.

Feb. 2: Hannah Rose Nicolas and Gregg Mervine – Violist/vocalist/songwriter Hannah Nicholas and multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/composer Gregg Mervine have collaborated on several concerts and recordings in the past few years, including innovative interpretations of Bach, Hungarian folk music, and singer-songwriter material. They’ll bring an eclectic program to Langhorne on Feb. 2.

March 1: Robert Curto Trio – LCA will be the first in town to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a program of authentic Irish folk tunes. When Curto warms up his accordion and his bandmates join in, listeners will be transported to the lively sounds and rich culture of the Emerald Isle.

April 5: Cabin Jazz Trio – This prolific Langhorne-based band, featuring Glenn Pezzillo on slide guitar, is always a hit wherever they play. Cabin Jazz will put a spring in your step.

The Winter Concert Series is a fundraiser for the LCA Scholarship Fund and experiences in the arts that enrich the community. For tickets and information, visit https://www.langhornearts.org/events.html.
