Lambertville Historical Society Autumn House Tour to feature five homes

Posted

The Lambertville Historical Society will host its 39th Autumn House Tour Sunday, Oct. 23, when five homes will be featured.

Coming back strong with an in-person tour this year, the event promises the wow factor past attendees have enjoyed, and then some.

The homes range in style from Queen Anne and Federal, to a stone Tuscan Revival and a 19th century Vernacular with Italianate influences.

In addition, the recently renovated Kalmia Clubhouse, home to one of New Jersey’s oldest women’s clubs since 1910, will be featured. Also on the tour, probably the oldest house still standing in town, home to seven generations of Holcombes, is Washington’s Headquarters. Twice during the Revolutionary War, Washington and his officers stayed at the home while preparing for battle.

The tour is self-guided and will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 on the day of the tour and $25 for LHS members at all times; they may be purchased through Eventbrite at Lambertvillehistoricalsociety.org or at the James Marshall House Museum, 60 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J., between 1 and 4 p.m. Sundays.
