Shad Festival in Lambertville, N.J., celebrated 40 years on April 22 and 23 with vendors, handcrafted arts, a poster display and auction, children’s activities, food, music and more.
Visitors were also able to watch shad being caught in a large net by the family-run Lewis Fishery on Lewis Island, which is the last commercial shad operation on the Delaware River.
