Lambertville artists collaborate for exhibition

Posted

The community is invited to join emergent Lambertville artists Anne Marie Sole and Jennifer Chase for “A Lambertville Collaboration.”

Current works will be on display at Bucks Coffee, 25 Bridge St. (JB Kline building), Lambertville, N.J., from Jan. 1 to 31. A reception is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5.

Chase’s work will include landscapes of the New Jersey towns of Lambertville, Princeton and Sergeantsville. Some paintings take a step beyond to highlight the beauty of France, and some go even farther, with scenes translated to canvas from the artist’s imagination.

“I try to capture the beauty and love I have for the surrounding area in my work: landscapes, water, wildlife and Victorian architecture. I put my heart into every painting. It’s hard to let go of some of them,” said Chase.

Sole’s work will include original oil paintings, prints, cards and local photography. Most of her paintings are “created from dreams and memories.” She finds freedom in abstract impressionism.
