A 36-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday to two to five years in state prison for attempting to meet a 12-year-old-girl for a sexual encounter.
Eliseo Caraballo, of Kintnersville, pleaded guilty in October to unlawful contact with a minor, criminal solicitation, and related offenses. He appeared Tuesday before Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr., who sentenced him to two to five years, followed by 10 years of probation.
According to court documents, Caraballo was arrested July 27 in Bensalem, after he arranged to meet with the 12-year-old girl for a sexual encounter. It is unclear whether Caraballo was communicating with a 12-year-old girl or a law enforcement officer posing as a 12-year-old girl.
He traveled from his home in Kintnersville to the arranged meeting spot, where Bensalem Police were waiting and where they took Caraballo into custody. When he arrived at the meeting location, Caraballo had six condoms, as well as a drink and a lollipop that he had brought, the court records state.
Caraballo began conversing on a social media/dating app with the alleged 12-year-old girl. During their conversation, the alleged juvenile advised Caraballo of her age and he said he was okay with it, court records state. He continued to converse with the juvenile for several days.
During the chats, Caraballo quickly began asking the juvenile numerous sexually charged questions and indicated that he wanted to engage in sexual acts with her, despite her age, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.
On numerous occasions, according to the DA’s office and court documents, Caraballo asked the juvenile for nude photographs of herself and sent her numerous explicit photographs of his genitals.
This investigation was conducted by the Bensalem Township Police Department, with assistance from the FBI Child Exploitation & Human Trafficking Task Force and the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
