Kintnersville author publishes children’s book

Posted

“Feeling Free,” a new book by Amie Allanson-Dundon of Kintnersville, has been released by RoseDog Books.

“Feeling Free” is a book for all ages. The prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders in people of all ages is rising. While written to speak to younger children, the concept of sharing feelings, talking about thoughts and worries with adults and mentors has relevancy.

The journey taken by Max in the book and the many ways he is helped along the way (some obvious and some hidden treasures for kids to find), help people of all ages better understand the emotional freedom they feel by talking about the concerns they carry. As Max’s worries get heavier, talking about his thoughts helps to lighten his heavy feelings.

Allanson-Dundon is a licensed professional counselor in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is network director of clinical therapy services for a nationally recognized university health network in its department of psychiatry.

Allanson-Dundon is the wife of a machinist, the stepmother to two grown stepchildren and mother to one grown biological child. She has a Bernese mountain dog named Sadie who is a certified therapy dog and often works with her in her work in the world of psychotherapy.

“Feeling Free” is a 26-page hardbound. For information, visit https://rosedogbookstore.com/feeling-free/.
