Keystone to accept food pantry donations at storage site

Posted

Keystone Opportunity Center’s Food Pantry stopped accepting food donations in late March until the agency could set up a safe method for collection. Keystone has announced that on April 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., it will be accepting food donations at the agency’s offsite storage site located on Duke Ally in Souderton, and this will continue each Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To maintain infection control protocols, no food donations will be accepted in Keystone’s office and food pantry. During the food dropoff, social distancing and contactless procedures will be strictly observed for the safety of all.

Donors will pull their car up in front of the storage site, then carry their own donations inside. Keystone volunteers will remain outside the site, and will neither carry or weigh donations, nor give donor receipts. All donations will be considered anonymous and no thank you letters will be mailed. Once inside the storage site, all donated food will be left to quarantine before it will be given to clients.
