Kevin Stuart Washburn, 65, of New Hope, PA, died on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in San Rafael, California, Kevin grew up in New Hope. He graduated from New Hope-Solebury High School. A gifted musician, Kevin toured with the United States Collegiate Wind Band and played with the Mercer Symphony Orchestra during his high school years. He earned an undergraduate degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He later received a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from the University of Denver. He launched a career with the Hilton Hotel Corporation as a director of catering. His work with Hilton took him to the Palmer House in Chicago, Trader Vic’s in St. Louis, the Parsippany Hilton, the Hilton in Anchorage and the Los Angeles Hilton and Towers in Los Angeles. In more recent years Kevin had returned home to New Hope and was working at the Home Depot in Flemington.

Kevin was the son of the late Jack C. Washburn. He is survived by his mother Diane Bagshaw Washburn of New Hope; his sister Wendy Washburn-Rice of Yardley; his nephew Sean Andrew Rice and his wife Chelsea of Orlando, FL and their sons Graham and Hugh and his nephew John Patrick Rice of Winter Park, FL.

The memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Berklee College of Music Scholarship Fund, Atten: gift processor, 1140 Boyleton Street, Boston, MA 02215.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530.
