Keeping local history alive

Posted

From left: Sandy Shelly, Dave Landis, Joe Bobiak and Bob Beck recently participated in the Richland Township Community Day by sharing information about the Richland Historical Society’s efforts to keep its one-room school alive as a shining example of where the local educational system started. Community members can visit the schoolhouse, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, during the 2 p.m. Sept. 17 meeting of the historical society. The schoolhouse is located at 130 Richlandtown Pike, Quakertown. For more information, call 215-536-4353.
