Jersey Mike’s sells record number of subs during fundraiser for Kin

Posted

Jersey Mike’s, located in the Cross Keys Place Shopping Center in Doylestown, held a popular fundraiser on Sept. 8 and 9, donating 100% of all sales to Kin Wellness and Support Center, a nonprofit that provides free integrative services, counseling, fitness, yoga, therapy and support to cancer patients and their families in Bucks County.

The $13,570.62 raised will be allocated to a program Kin started earlier this year called Cover Our Rent, where businesses can donate funds to pay Kin’s rent. Jersey Mike’s will easily cover Kin’s rent in October and November.

Not only did people from the community visit Jersey Mike’s, but Bucks County businesses ordered lunch for their employees in support of Kin. Langan Engineering, Jillamy, Provident Bank, Stone Hill Contracting and the Thompson Organization all enjoyed large catering orders. Thompson even purchased subs for both the Doylestown Borough and Township police departments.

Jesse Allen and Amanda Taibe, the owners of the Jersey Mike’s location in Doylestown and New Hope, said they had two and a half times the foot traffic during the Kin fundraiser. The couple, and their employees were so moved by the outpouring of support and gratitude that was shared by Kin guests who made purchases over the two-day event, that they have pledged to make this an annual fundraiser that will benefit the local cancer community through Kin.
