Posted

Janie R. Vaughan of Doylestown, Pa., died on Oct. 3, 2022, peacefully at home after an unbelievable battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 63 years old.

Born in Gainesville, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Marie (Knoell) Vaughan.

Janie was a graduate of Central Bucks East High School and Pennsylvania College of Chiropractic. She worked as a chiropractor for almost 40 years. In addition to her chiropractic work, for the past 20 years she was an administrative assistant at Jarrett Vaughan Builders.

Janie was an avid reader and Phillies fan. She could often be found sitting in the sunshine with a good book or listening to a Phillies game. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter and their rescue pup, Harry.

Above all, Janie was the type of friend everyone wants. She was the number one fan of all whom she loved and a fantastic listener. She will be incredibly missed by so many.

She is survived by her daughter, Emma Schreiber, siblings Mindy Emerson, Daniel R. Vaughan and Brian Vaughan, their spouses, nieces, nephew, their spouses, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 22 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Doylestown, where family will greet guests from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janie’s name to: Kin Wellness and Support Center, 2325 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 113, Furlong, PA 18925 (welcometokin.org) or METAvivor, 1783 Forest Drive, #184, Annapolis, MD 21401 (donate.metavivor.org).
