Interfaith congregations gather to support Ukraine

Posted

BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (Warrington) reached out to neighboring congregations to rally support for Ukraine.

All people of all faiths are invited to join in a prayer service from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24.

Those attending are asked to gather at the church no later than 1:50 p.m. The Rev. Vasil Bunik of St. Anne will lead the service at St. Anne’s at 1545 Easton Road in Warrington, offering insight into Ukrainian culture.

The Rev. Wakaki Thompson, pastor at Macedonia Baptist Church (Newtown), will offer prayers on behalf of other congregations and anyone who attends the service.

“We are all horrified by the suffering of the people of Ukraine,” said the Rev. Kevin Jagoe of BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. “We want the families and compatriots of Ukrainians in Pennsylvania to know they are not in this alone.”

Everyone is invited to show their support for Ukraine on April 24.
