A non-juried art show, Inktober 2022, will be exhibiting artworks submitted to Phoenix Art & Supplies from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday Oct. 30.
The first Inktober exhibit, at 1810 S. Easton Road (Route 611), Doylestown, features artwork made with inks in all forms, from Sumi ink through Sharpies, colored inks to straight black and white, pen and ink washes to stark black and white abstracts.
The show is based on the very popular national Inktober event, where artists are encouraged to make an artwork every day in the month of October, based on prompts, a word listed for each day to get the creative juices flowing.
In addition to the art show, the event will be for socializing while enjoying fun fall activities and sharing autumn-themed refreshments. Paint a mini pumpkin to take home for your Halloween decor or try out ink-based art materials at the “play station.”
Attendees can view, purchase and/or vote for their favorite original artwork. Those always ready for fun can come in their own unique costume, and those who are more shy can come in their everyday clothes.
