Hunterdon County Spring Antiques Fair returns to fairgrounds

Posted

The spring Hunterdon County Antiques Fair will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds on Route 179, Ringoes, N.J.

The Hunterdon County Fairgrounds with covered pavilions will provide the excitement of an outdoor event, but with the added element of being protected from inclement weather. Attendees may pay admission and wait inside in case of inclement weather. There is unlimited free parking and food will be provided by the Hunterdon County 4-H Leaders Association.

The GPS address is 1199 Old York Road, Ringoes, N.J., five minutes from both Flemington, N.J. and New Hope.

The exhibitors, (representing New York State, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania) will highlight their antiques from many eras, from 18th century furniture and accessories to fine early 20th century collectibles.

Collectors will be able to find many objects to add to their collections or furnish their homes: including quilts, folk art, decorated stoneware, redware, painted and refinished country furniture, period furniture, early lighting devices, Revolutionary and Civil War-related weaponry, samplers, early tools, kitchen collectibles, linens and textiles, paintings and prints, estate and costume jewelry, some collectible postcards, and myriad assortment of other fine items.

Be sure to set aside enough time to peruse the entire show. A food vendor will be on site and the Hunterdon County 4-H will be holding a bake sale.

The show is sponsored by the Hunterdon County 4-H Leaders Association and is managed by Cecilia Taylor. For information, contact Taylor at 302-981-7250.
