This photo was taken last week after news reports highlighted the upper atmospheric haze from the wildfires spreading east and how that smoke was affecting everything from air quality to color changes in the morning and evening skies. The haze created a red filter on the sunlight reflecting off the almost full moon and I happened to obtain a shot of it.
