Posted

Explore the art of painting using water mixable oils, providing all the wonderful qualities of traditional oils without the use of harsh solvents or chemicals.

Winter classes are open for Beginner to Intermediate Oil Painting, a six-week course held on Thursday evenings from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Haycock Community Center, 1014 Old Bethlehem Road, Quakertown. Classes taught by Christine McHugh begin Feb. 29 and run through April 4.

The class will cover the basics of using the artists tools, and move along to color mixing, values, composition, light and shadow as participants paint a painting of an image provided to them.

Whether you are beginning or expanding your journey as an artist, this class is designed to help bring you the knowledge and confidence you need to enjoy the art of creating your own unique paintings.

The cost is $180 for six weeks, payable to Christine McHugh via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, check or cash. Pre-registration is required through Feb. 27. A materials list will be provided upon registration.
