Grundy Museum in Bristol invites old and new friends to its June 4 Takeout Lunch, an annual “CanDoMore” fundraiser.
Proceeds benefit library STEM technology and museum textile conservation projects.
Reservations for boxed Takeout Lunch packages can be purchased at grundymuseum.ticketleap.com. Offered are two adult choices at $30, created separately and especially for Grundy by the King George II Inn and Bristol’s own Chef Sue Duffy Arroyo.
The King George II Inn’s King George’s Lunch features Chef Fabian’s finest selection of Italian meats and cheese topped with the KGII signature white balsamic dressing on seeded Italian bread. Included is a side of the KGII signature house salad.
Chef Sue Duffy Arroyo’s Wrap Up Your Greens Lunch is a vegetarian sandwich featuring grilled veggies in a wrap topped with hummus and baby spinach. Included is a homemade hummus cup with raw veggies and a Vegan Summer Quinoa Salad.
Both choices include bottled water, fruit, a crunchy snack and a special sweet treat.
Curbside pick-up times on the 4th are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. River Park lawns are available for picnicking. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy lunch on the banks of the Delaware. Restrooms are not available due to ongoing construction. Guests are encouraged to share their Takeout Lunch pictures on social media.
