Growing up in high school

Posted

The cancellation of assembly speaker Dr. Mykee Fowlin at Quakertown High School shows the depth to which we’ve fallen in failing to honor our Constitution’s First and most important Amendment.

First of all, board President Glenn Iosue attempted to dance around the issue by trying to table the matter. Then we learn that four of the eight voting members had no knowledge of what they were canceling even though attendance was voluntary.

Why are they on the board if they can’t take the time to find out the content of what the school had planned?

From what I gather a lot of young people missed out on some very valuable life lessons.

High school is supposed to represent the entry into adulthood, but it appears some of those who are supposedly leading them on that journey haven’t reached it themselves.
