Greater BucksMont Chamber hosts Autism Spectrum Disorder Boot Camp

Posted

Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce hosts a breakfast boot camp workshop, presented by Airmid Wellness and Counseling Center, to help demystify Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and provide helpful information and tools to support those on the spectrum in your work and life. The tools are also useful for those working with Attention Deficit Disorder.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Boot Camp will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 240 Veterans Way, Warminster. The cost is $10 (chamber members), $15 (nonmembers). Coffee, tea, muffins and bagels will be provided.

The event will define ASD and how it affects individuals; provide an understanding of why individuals with ASD act as they do and reframe these acts as self-regulation; discuss skills you can use to support those on the spectrum and well as other neurodivergent individuals; and discuss additional resources you can reference in the future.
