The Silverman Gallery of Bucks County Impressionist Art presents a “Winter Small Works Show” featuring work by all of the gallery’s fine artists.
The public is invited to attend Open House receptions, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 6 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the gallery located in Buckingham Green, 4920 York Road (Route 202) in Holicong. The exhibition continues into February and will evolve as work is sold.
Visitors to the gallery often exclaim, “I am running out of wall space!” This is a fact for so many who have loved and collected art over the years. This is especially true when downsizing or moving to a new home with more windows and less space for art.
“There are many ways to optimize small spaces with original art, says gallery owner Rhonda Garland. “A single eye-catching piece can be placed above a thermostat or light switch. Two or three small paintings work really well in a narrow vertical or horizontal space. They also look great alongside a much larger piece of art.”
Over the years, collectors have found ingenious ways to group several pieces of art, often by more than one artist and type of framing.
“We are so proud to represent the following local artists: Joseph Barrett, Jennifer Hansen Rolli, Anita Shrager, David Stier, Glenn Harrington, Jean Childs Buzgo, Desmond McRory, Jim Rodgers, Trisha Vergis, Evan Harrington and Jonathan Mandell. Small paintings make great gifts as well.” The gallery also offers a no-interest payment plan, free gift wrapping, consultation and Silverman Gallery Gift certificates.
The Silverman Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, but will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Other hours are available by appointment.
