Grace Patricia Firth

Grace Patricia Firth of Lambertville, N.J., died on Monday, December 18, 2023. She was 88 years old.

Born and raised in London, England, Patricia came to New York City as a young girl. What was supposed to be a short visit turned into a lifetime when she met her future husband, John Firth. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Hunter College and went on to graduate studies there. She raised her children Robert and Vivien in New York City. Pat later relocated to Lambertville, N.J. A proponent of higher education, Pat worked for the State of New Jersey’s Board of Higher Education certifying professional credentials.

Pat was a woman of many interests. She was an advocate for women’s rights, higher education and animal welfare. Pat was a member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Friends of Mary Sheridan Park, the Kalmia Club and the Lambertville Historical Society, volunteering on their annual house tour. She enjoyed antiquing, bird watching and gardening. She always looked forward to wintering in Naples, Florida with her husband, Ed Cohen, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Patricia was the mother of the late Robert Firth, wife of the late Edward Cohen, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Nellie Eastwood Woods and the sister of the late Jean Ann Woods.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Vivien and Christopher Cosner of Solebury and her grandchildren Nicole Careigh Cosner (partner Samuel Lombardi) and Daniel Christopher Rutledge Cosner of North Wales, Pa.

Funeral services will be private.
