Friends of the Hunterdon County Library host book sale

Posted

The Friends of the Hunterdon County Library (FOHCL) is gearing up for its 26th annual book sale, set to run from April 20-22, at the Grange Building in the South County Park Fairgrounds on Route 179, Lambertville, N.J.

Book drives will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, April 6 and 13, at the Grange Building. Contributions large and small are welcome.

Donations may also be dropped off at the Headquarters Library April 10-13 during library business hours. Limit donations at the branch to three bags/boxes, as space for drop-offs there is limited.

Needed are: hardcover and paperback books; children’s books; DVDs, video games, and music/audiobook CDs; and sheet music. Place them in boxes if possible.

Items that are not wanted include: anything on cassette; encyclopedias; pre-2019 computer and business books; textbooks; Reader’s Digest condensed books; magazines of any type; and anything in mildewed, water-damaged, or beat-up condition.

Volunteers are needed to help collect and sort books during donation days, and to staff the book sale. Students 13 and older are welcome to participate, and service credit will be given.

To participate, download the volunteer form at: www.hclibrary.us (click on FOHCL) or email fohclvolunteer@gmail.com. For information, email fohclbooksale@gmail.com.

Most books will be $2 each (for hardcovers), and there will be a special collections boutique with individually priced volumes. A bag sale (with bags provided) will take place Monday, April 22.
