Free chair yoga slated at Doylestown Library

Posted

The Doylestown Library will host free chair yoga, presented by Dragonfly Yoga Studio, every Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the Pearl Buck Room of the library, starting July 14.

The weekly program, supported by the Friends of the Doylestown Library, will continue through September 1.

“Chair yoga is a great way to experience the benefits of yoga, even for those who may have limited mobility,” said Joe Simek of Dragonfly Yoga, which conducts both in-person and on-line yoga classes in its new studio at 164 Green St., Doylestown.

“We’re pleased to partner with the Doylestown Library and Dragonfly Yoga to offer this opportunity to the community,” said Friends President Steve Schreiner. “It’s just one example of how our non-profit organization proudly supports the Doylestown Library.”

The Friends of the Doylestown Library also hosts its own programs at the library such as Reading to the Dogs (which will restart in September), supports free distribution of the monthly Book Page, and funded the interactive light board in the children’s area of the library.
