Foundations Community Partnership launches podcast for nonprofit sector

Posted

Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) recently launched the #FCPresents professional development series to help strengthen the nonprofit sector in Bucks County.

Complementing its FCP Conversations Online podcast, the series features nonprofit thought leaders who virtually share their expertise with their peers.

Recent workshops feature Chad Barger, who discusses his “Favorite Free (or cheap) Fundraising Tools” to help nonprofit professionals fundraise more efficiently and effectively. His firm, Productive Fundraising, specializes in teaching the latest research-based fundraising tactics and making them approachable for small, community-based nonprofit organizations.

Tony Luna’s presentation, “Why ‘You’ Matters,” helps transform your organization’s communication from self-centered to donor centered. He is the director of donor impact for Independence Mission Schools and has 24 years of experience engaging, cultivating, and inspiring constituents to invest in what inspires them.

Finally, FCP Board members Morgan Bryan, senior coordinator-institutional partnerships at the Travis Manion Foundation, and Dr. Patricia Stern Smallacombe, associate dean-academic partnerships at Bucks County Community College, discuss “Grant Writing for Impact and Funding Trends.” Their workshop features best practices on how to successfully tell one’s story and meet funding goals while staying up-to-date on the latest nonprofit funding trends.

In response to the growing demand for professional development, FCP’s Board of Directors looked for new strategies to meet the demand in budget-friendly ways. “#FCPresents allows us to quickly meet the demand for impactful professional development workshops that can conveniently be incorporated into the busy schedules of today’s nonprofit professionals,” said FCP Board Chair Abigail Halloran.
