Foundations Community Partnership awards scholarships

Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) recognized the achievements of Bucks County students. In collaboration with each of the county’s 19 public high schools, FCP recently announced the 2022 Partnership in Education Scholarship awardees.

School administrators and guidance counselors from every public high school in Bucks County nominated the students who best demonstrated a commitment to community service, academic performance and quality of character. Foundations Community Partnership awarded $1,000 to each Bucks County high school student leader.

The following co-sponsored select scholarships, which signaled their commitment to the community and FCP’s mission: Doylestown Health, Eastburn & Gray, P.C., First Bank, Connie Furman, Grand View Health and Penn Community Bank.

Luke Sargent of Bensalem High School (attending Temple University) was co-sponsored by Eastburn & Gray, P.C. Delaney Slate of Bristol Borough High School (attending Kutztown University) was co-sponsored by FirstBank. Kylie Marozsan of Neshaminy High School (attending the University of Miami) was co-sponsored by Neshaminy HS alumna Connie Furman.

Meryn Bellacima of Bucks County Technical High School (attending Alvernia University), Corey Brillman of Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (attending Daemen University) and Anna James of Upper Bucks County Technical School (attending Johnson College of Technology) were co-sponsored by Penn Community Bank.

Those co-sponsored by Doylestown Health were Pierson Stallings of Central Bucks High School East (attending Penn State University), Tiahna Mickle of Central Bucks High School South (attending Spelman College) and Quin Whalen of Central Bucks High School West (attending Villanova). Sarah Mutchnik of Pennridge High School (attending Thomas Jefferson University) and Madelyn LeBonge of Quakertown Community High School (attending Notre Dame University) were co-sponsored by Grand View Health. The remaining sponsored students are Arushi Singh of Council Rock High School North (attending Penn State), Julia Levin of Council Rock High School South (attending Penn State University), Ilayda Akbayrak of Harry S. Truman High School (attending Drexel University), Elizabeth McCaskey of Morrisville Sr. High School (attending West Virginia University), Kathryn Thistlewaite of New Hope – Solebury High School (attending Franklin & Marshall College), Katherine Kelly of Palisades Highschool (attending Boston College), Anika Koul of Pennsbury High School (attending University of Pennsylvania) and Matthew McDevitt of William Tennent High School (attending York College of Pennsylvania).
