Forty Years

Posted

I lay with this man and no one else

for forty years or more.

I lay with this man and no one else

I love him to his core.

I lay with this man and no one else

since I became his wife.

I lay with this man and no one else

for more than half my life.

I lay with this man and no one else

when future shone so bright.

I lay with this man and no one else

as we walk toward the fading light.
