Each November, Forest Grove Presbyterian Church participates in “The Church Has Left the Building.”
In prior years, Forest Grove members have met at church for a brief service and left the building to go into the community. They have raked leaves, cleaned, painted, sorted clothing and completed other work outside the church.
This year, the church participated in a different project.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, more than 100 people gathered at Forest Grove to package 20,304 meals for children and families around the world.
The work was done under the guidance of Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief nonprofit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other life-changing aid to people in developing nations.
