Flemington man dies in crash

The Northampton County Coroner’s office has identified a man who died following a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Oxford Township, N.J., Tuesday, as Ramesh R. Ramchandani, 82, of Flemington, N.J.

He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township where he died, the coroner’s office said Friday. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was accidental.

According to published reports, the crash, which occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on Route 31, involved two cars and a tractor trailer and resulted in a five and one half hour closure of the road. It remains under investigation.

Cornoner Zachary R. Lysek said no further information will be released at this time.
