Posted

Flemington DIY Print Club has received the Community Grant Award from Masterwork Music and Arts Foundation.

The award is designed to support organizations and people that encourage excellence in the arts at the community level. For the 2022-2023 community grant season, five grants were offered — two at the $1,000 level and three at the $500 level. Artists and arts organizations in the tri-state area were encouraged to apply.

Flemington DIY Print Club was awarded this grant out of more than 125 inquiries and 50 applicants. Flemington DIY is proud to be an awardee along with: New Jersey Choral Society, Jules and Dee, Anonymous was the Data, and Ladies of Hip Hop, 2022 Ladies of Hip Hop Festival.

Flemington DIY Print Club is a weekly open printmaking studio with the goal of providing a platform for artists to network, build community, and work collaboratively. Local artists and community members new to the printmaking process utilize the shared facilities hosted at Flemington DIY to learn new techniques and explore a new art form.

Print Club meets every Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Flemington DIY’s new space, 26 Stangl Road, Flemington, N.J. Print Club participants should arrive by 6 p.m. There is a sliding scale payment of $15-30 per screen. Participants decide what they want to pay on this scale. Thanks to Masterwork Music and Arts Foundation’s support, no participant will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Participants should bring their image printed out as a black and white image in the size they want it to be and bring items to print on, for example: paper, T-shirts, bags, etc. There is limited space so: First come, First served.
