Flemington DIY presents Reynols 30th Anniversary Art Exhibition 2023

Posted

Flemington DIY and local promoter Tape Pencil are hosting an art exhibit featuring the works of Argentine experimental rock band, educators and disability activists, Reynols.

On display will be photography, silk screened posters (printed by Flemington DIY’s Print Club), Xerox art and audio from Reynols, beginning with an opening event from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 7. The exhibition runs through July 31, at 26 Stangl Road, Flemington, N.J.

Reynols formed in the 1990s in Buenos Aires and have been featured on over 100 musical and conceptual releases around the globe. Their leader, drummer and vocalist, Miguel Tomasin, has down syndrome.

His achievements and presence in the Argentine noisy rock scene and the world over has gained fandom and collaboration with such luminaries as Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), composer Pauline Oliveros and Keiji Haino (Japan), among countless others; but also, Miguel and his band’s work have benefited the lifestyles and rights of those with disabilities in his home country.

The July 7 opening will include musical performances by Human Adult Band (N.J.), Haves & Thirds (Tampa, Fla.), People Skills (Philadelphia) & Dj-ing by Princeton’s WPRB.
